Use
Gently pour a small amount of warm water into a bowl over your Matcha, then use the chasen to gently mix it into a thick green paste. After this, you can add more water until you reach your desired consistency, then use the whisk to whisk the Matcha in an M shape until smooth underneath and frothy on top! You can then enjoy it directly from the bowl, as per traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony fashion.
Care
- Before the first use, pass the chasen freely through a bowl of warm water, so all of the delicate bamboo bristles can unravel naturally.

After each use, rinse chasen with cold water and stand, tines up, to dry in a well-ventilated area. With use, the twisted centre and outer tips of the whisk will gradually unfurl. This is a natural process traditionally known as 'blooming'.
